What do Teachers do on the Weekend?

            Over the past few weeks, I have asked students what they would like to see in the newspaper, and they wanted to know what teachers do on the weekend. So, I asked a few teachers, and this is what they said.

• Mrs. Strickland said, “Sometimes I go to the movies; almost all weekends I go out to eat, and I go to church on Sundays.”
• Mrs. Ellis states, “I clean house, wash clothes, and I take care of my babies.”
• Mrs. Chestnut replies, “As often as I can, I like to visit my granddaughter in Columbia who will be four in April.”
• Mrs. Altman says, “I read, walk my dogs, and clean.”
• Mrs. Terry replied by saying, “I go shopping; I get a movie, and play cards with my family; I go to church, and I work in my yards.”
• Mr. Barker said, “I am working on my National Board Certification.”
• Mrs. Johnson states, “I work in the yard; I shop; I go to the movies; I wash clothes, and I clean.”
• Mrs. Jeaneen replied, “I clean, wash clothes, work in the yard, go to church, and eat out.”

Some clean; some eat out, and some even work in their yards. They all seem to really enjoy doing these activities.
