Spring Break: Freedom For All

Spring Break—a time to hang out, to party, to relax and to take it easy. Spring break is most memorable to students for one main reason: an entire week free of teachers, early mornings, school work, and homework.

       What are your plans for spring break? Ready to escape this little city of Aynor for a new scene? Or, would you rather take it easy and hang at home? We decided to ask five Aynor High School students and five Aynor High School teachers exactly what they have planned for the fabulous week known to many as “Spring Break.”

Student Responses:

“I am going to eat and sleep, eat and sleep, eat and watch some TV, then eat again and sleep some more.”

 “I am going to go bowling (glow bowling!) for the first time, and play some soccer, and sleep! Oh, and eat!”

 “I am going to go to the beach, hang out with friends, “par-tay”, and sleep in…A LOT, and lose the game!”

 “I’m going to stay at a hotel at the beach with my family and chill with my homies!”

           Well, it seems as if all of these AHS students are pretty pumped up about Spring Break. Now, on to what the teachers had to say…

“I’m supposed to have federal jury duty, and I’m helping with prom and attending it too.”

 “I’ll be at the beach resting, and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing!”

 “I’m travelling through spring break. I’m going to Greenville, South Carolina, and the beach.”

 “I’ll be fishing…and that’s about it.”

 “Practicing tennis, playing tennis, and going to the beach, that’s what I’ve got planned.”

        As Spring Break creeps closer, what will your plans be for the holiday? So many places to go, people to see, things to do…with all the choices, it makes it literally impossible to figure out exactly what to do with the time away! Pack a bag and get away, or go to the beach and hang out with friends, the possibilities are endless!
