On March 25, 2009, Aynor High School students got to hear one of the best guest speakers, evangelist Ken Freeman. He was very interesting and really got our attention. Ken Freeman made us see different sides of life and told about choices in life. He said “Every day you make choices, and you’re always one choice away from a different life.” He also stated, “The choices you make do not only affect you, but also your family and friends.” Ken shared with us about his life growing up. He had an alcoholic mother and absentee father. Ken practically raised his sister; he took care of her like a parent should do. He really was very interesting and reached a lot of us students. His message made many of us realize how thankful we need to be that we have a good family who loves and takes care of us. And, it made us realize there is always somebody who has it worse than we do.
