Dating, Letdowns, Moving On

When I like someone, I don’t hold back; I tell the person I like him/her.  I don’t think you should like someone and just stand there and just admire him/her for years and years to come.  You have to be brave, suck it up, and talk to the person.  If you like someone and you talk to him/her and he/she turns out to be ignorant, he/she is just a waste of your time.

How would you approach someone you like if he/she doesn’t know you like him/her?  I would just go up to him/her and be friendly, but deffinitly don’t be nervous.  As Whitney Lewis explained, “I would go up and talk to them but don’t be nervous, cause they will suspect that you like them.” We totally agree with that, you can’t be nervous, be confident at all times.

What do you do if the person you go up to talk to is a jerk?  If the person you like is a jerk whenever you go up to him/her, then be a jerk back.  You don’t have to take it; let him/her know that.  If someone is sending you mean signals to not talk to him/her, then don’t talk to him/her. As Brandi Harrelson said,”I liked this guy a lot and he was giving me signals that he liked me.  Whenever I confronted him and told him how I felt about him, he was a jerk and said he didn’t like me.  He also said that the only reason why he flirted with me was because these two mean girls dared him to.  At first I was really mad, but then I got over it when I realized that he was a jerk, and that he didn’t deserve me anyways because I am too good for him.”  That is so true, never let one person get to you.  One day he/she will realize what he/she missed out on, and it will get the best of him/her.  There are more fish in the sea.

As Matt Sellers replied,”Even if you don’t want to date someone, what’s the worst thing that could happen?  You could become friends, and who knows what could happen later on.”

The final thing to get out of this is, go talk to someone; you never know how he/she might feel about you.  He/she might even like you the same way.  Even if the person is a jerk, hey at least you learned that.  It should motivate you to find someone better out there who really deserves you.
