With one week left until prom night, everyone should be taking care of those last minute details! You should make sure that your corsages and boutonnieres are ordered from a florist that you trust at least a week in advance. The flowers should match the outfits of the couple. Reservations for dinner should be made at the restaurant you will be eating at, several days in advance. If you don’t have reservations for your motel, you still have a little time left, so pick up the phone, and call! Ladies make sure that you have everything in order from your earrings to your to your shoes, and everything in between! See you on prom night!

Girls usually take prom a lot more seriously than guys, but it is important for guys to be just as prepared as their dates. After all, they want to look just as hot as the ladies on prom night, right?

First, guys should get fitted for their tuxes; the outfit should fit you just right, so you can dance a lot and be comfortable at the same time. Then, decide on a color.Matching couples always look the best: guys, go for a tie/bow tie and vest that matches the color of your date’s dress. Before you put in the order for your tux, be sure that she either already has her dress, or knows definitely what color she will be wearing….so you look the very best on that special night!

Prom Prep: Finding the Perfect Dress

Prom is more than special in the mind of a female teenager, and can be the single most important event in her high school adventure. One of the first steps to a perfect prom would be purchasing that perfect prom dress. Here are a few tips to finding “the one”.
There are a large number of places to shop for a prom dress. When picking out a prom dress girls are encouraged to bring along someone who will let them know exactly how they look in the dress. This person can be a parent or a friend, but be sure to ask them to tell you the truth. While hearing that your favorite dress so far doesn’t look the greatest on you may be heartbreaking, it is better than looking less attractive then you really are.
The place that you purchase the dress from can be just as important as the dress itself. When selecting a prom dress your first idea may be to head to your local mall, but you need to remember that may other prom goers are thinking the same way. The last thing that you would want to do is show up to the prom wearing the same dress as someone else. You may want to consider purchasing a prom dress from a small boutique or a store designed especially for selling prom dresses. These stores often keep track of the dresses purchased and what prom they will be worn at.
Once you have a beautiful prom dress you will have to select prom shoes to go along with that dress. You are encouraged to purchase shoes that you can actually walk in. If you are interested in purchasing high heels, but do not have experience walking in them you may want to practice. You can practice wearing your prom shoes or you can purchase cheap imitation heels to make sure that you can wear them before paying for potentially expensive prom shoes.
