I Still Wish

                            

I once loved you,

And you loved me.

And what you did to me,

I couldn’t believe.

I’ve heard around,

That the eyes deceive.

Since I’ve been with you,

That I now believe.

Why did you do this?

Why did you cause me this pain?

Did you do it for fun?

Did you do it to see what you’d gain?

You took my heart and broke it,

Now I’m empty inside.

When I see you

I just want to hide.

You can tear me down,

You can hurt me.

But you won’t win,

You won’t succeed.

You helped me realize

I cannot stop looking for love.

‘Cause I still wish on the stars,

As they fall from above.
