Relay For Life Follow Up

The Relay for Life was held around the new Courthouse in Conway on April 17, 2009. The crowd was pretty big. People sold cupcakes, jewelry, food, shirts, and raffle tickets to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The survivors walked their lap at 7:00 pm. There were many people participating during this lap. After the survivor lap, all teams had at least one person walk around the track the rest of the night. There was rock climbing and music for entertainment for the kids. There was even a masseuse there for the people who needed soothing. The luminary lap was at about 10:00pm. They called out names of survivors and the deceased during this hour. All in all, it was a good turnout this year. We hope to see more familiar faces out there next year.

            A reminder, this Saturday, April 25, 2009, there will be a yard sale at Dog Bluff Store. Please come out and help support the American Cancer Society.
