Varsity Baseball and Softball Season Comes to an End

The AHS Varsity baseball and softball seasons came to a close on Monday, May 4^th.  Both teams did exceptionally well this year and managed to make it to the second round of play-offs.  Unfortunately, both teams were defeated by the Hanahan Hawks on Thursday, April 30^th. The following Saturday, the baseball teamed traveled to and defeated Silver Bluff, while the Lady Jackets hosted Pelian and also brought home a victory.  With these wins, both teams were headed to the next round of play-offs.  Sadly, their seasons ended when the boys lost to Ashley Ridge, and the girls were defeated once again by Hanahan.

D.J. Herrington- “No, I wanted more wins and to go further in playoffs.”

Peyton Hill- “No, because you can always do better.”

Alison Larimore- “Yeah, because we went further than any other year.”

 

2.      What’s your most memorable moment?

D.J. Herrington- “Homerun against Loris”

Peyton Hill- “When JJ was batting, the ball hit his hand, then he quit.”

Alison Larimore- “Fun day and my orange heel”

 

3.      What are your feelings for next season?

D.J. Herrington- “We’ll be better because of all of the returning players.”

Peyton Hill- “More experience”

Alison Larimore- “They are not going to be as strong because they are losing a lot of seniors.”
