Lower State Golf Tournament

     The Lower State Golf tournament was held on May 4, 2009, at the Black Bear Golf Course.  The match consisted of 12 teams who played 5 players each.  The players left from school at 8:30 AM and went straight to the golf course where they were allowed several hours to practice before all of the teams arrived.  The first tee time was at 11:15 AM, and players were all sent off from different holes so it would not take as much time to get the match started.  In the mean time, the players who did not get to play were allowed to practice, watch the match, or just hang around the club house.  The coaches and a few parents and volunteers than cooked hamburgers, hotdogs, and French fries for the players to eat when they finished.  The golf course supplied free drinks, snacks, and range balls, also.  The match ended around 5:30 PM, and the scores were added up.  Aynor came in 4th place durning the match and will now go to the State Tornament which will be held at True Blue Plantation in Pawley’s Island on May 11, and May 12, 2009.
