Aynor recently had its last tournament for the year at its home course Burning Ridge. We still have a few more tournaments before the season ends, but they are all away matches.  The boys played Loris on April 21, 2009 at Burning Ridge and won.  Aynor played six varsity players and six JV players, but only the top 4 of each group’s scores counted.  During the tournament, the varsity players played the front nine, and the JV players played the back nine.  There are still three more matches before the season is over.  The next match will be at Dusty Hills on April 22, and Aynor will be playing against Marion/Loris/Cheraw.  The second match will be at Wild Wing on April 25, and this match is called the “Seahawk Invitational.”  This match will also consist of 18 holes instead of nine, and will be held on a Saturday.  The third match is the Region Tournament, which will be held at Black Bear on April 27; this tournament will be held at 12:00 PM and will count as an excused absence from school for all of the golf team members.
