Aynor Defeats Creekbridge

Friday night, despite the rain and mess, Blue Jacket fans came out to
Creekbridge to show their support for the boys. After the Blue Jackets’ previous loss to Latta the team was ready to defeat their next opponent, and that is just what they did.
Aynor scored the first touchdown, ran by Blair Fleming, # 21. Hunter Lambert, #1 kicked a field goal for an extra point for the Blue Jackets. The warriors score late in the first quarter making the score Aynor-7, Creekbridge-6.
With 5:40 seconds left in the second quarter, Creekbridge scored yet another touchdown; then Phillip Doyle, #33 intercepted a long pass from the Warriors. This puts the ball on Creekbridge’s 10 Yard line for the Blue Jackets.
In the 3rd Quarter, Aynor’s Nick Asbury, #15, scored a touchdown, followed by Hunter Lambert’s kick for an extra point. The game was tied 14-14 and the Blue Jackets continued fighting for the win. Later in the 3rd quarter, Creekbridge scored, as well as receiving a two point conversion, ending the third quarter with a score of Creekbridge-22, Aynor-14.
Kickoff was recovered by the Warriors and Aynor’s D-Line does a great job of holding the Warriors at the line. Despite their efforts they score a touchdown changing the score Creekbridge-30, Aynor-22. The Blue Jackets continued to battle, and Hunter Lambert recovered the ball on kickoff return, gaining 35 yards for Aynor. Nick Asbury, # 15, scored a touchdown and the Jackets receive a two point conversion, tying the game 30-30. We went into overtime and a win was in sight for the Blue Jackets.
Blue Jackets had the ball first, and Blair Fleming scored a touchdown and Jackets receive a two point conversion, changing the scoreboard, Creekbridge-30, Aynor-38. The Warriors now had possession of the ball and Aynor’s D- Line pushed back Creekbridge, refusing to let them score.
Aynor won with a final score of Creekbridge-30, Aynor-38. The boys worked very hard all week at practice and battle their way to victory. Good job guys, your hard work paid off!
